Pine — known affectionately as "The Chalet" — is an updated, well-maintained non-smoking log cabin that offers guests genuine privacy while remaining only steps from the lake. The log cabin character is intact; the interiors have been thoughtfully refreshed.

"Privacy, yet only steps away from the lake — with all the amenities one could ask for."

The king-size bed in the master makes this a favourite for couples. A log burning fireplace anchors the living room, and the 13×16 ft screened porch with Weatherall windows extends comfortable outdoor living well into the shoulder seasons. The bathroom was fully updated in 2015.

What's Included

  • Bedrooms: one with a King-size bed, one with a Queen-size bed; both have storage space with night tables, dressers, and closets
  • Kitchen: fully equipped with fridge, dishwasher, microwave/oven, countertop stove, coffee machine and grinder, blender and toaster oven; small eat-in area
  • Living room: TV & DVD player, stereo with CD player, log burning fireplace, 2 couches and a comfy chair
  • Bathroom (newly updated in 2015): toilet, tub/shower and sink
  • Porch: screened in area (13'x16'); a table that seats 6, 2 lounge chairs, ceiling fan, and vinyl Weatherall windows that allow the summer breezes through when open and provide protection from rain and cold when closed
  • Sun deck: Sun deck (12'x16') with propane BBQ; 2 Muskoka chairs and footstool

Living Room

Log burning fireplace, TV and DVD player, stereo with CD player, 2 couches and a comfy chair. Classic log cabin ambiance.

Weatherall Windows

13×16 ft with a table seating 6, 2 lounge chairs, and a ceiling fan. Weatherall vinyl windows open for summer breezes and close against rain and cold.

2 Queen Bedrooms

King master and queen second room — both with storage, dressers, night tables, and closets. Excellent for couples or small families.

Screened Porch & BBQ

12×16 ft sun deck with 2 Muskoka chairs and footstool, and a propane BBQ. The perfect spot for evening meals by the lake.

Full Kitchen

Fridge, dishwasher, microwave/oven, countertop stove, coffee machine and grinder, blender, toaster oven, and a small eat-in area.

Updated Bathroom

Full bathroom — toilet, tub/shower, and sink — fully renovated in 2015. Clean, modern, and well-maintained.

Hickory was remodelled and redecorated in 2014, with a new screened-in porch added that same year. It sits in a quiet corner of the property amid mature trees, with a filtered view of the lake through the canopy — serene and private in every season. 

"All seasons are beautiful at Oxbow. Consider fall for its stunning colours and late spring for picking wild mushrooms."

The owners take great pride in keeping Hickory neat and welcoming, and have many returning guests as a result. Book early — particularly for peak summer and winter weeks. Well-mannered animals are welcome on request.

What's Included

  • Bedrooms: both with queen beds with dressers, night tables and full sized closets for storage.
  • Kitchen: fully equipped kitchen with a full sized fridge and electric stove, microwave, and all small appliances and kitchen equipment, modern new maple kitchen cabinetry
  • Living room: open concept living room, dining and kitchen area provide plenty of room for entertaining; newly laid laminate flooring, and a wood burning stove,
  • Bathroom: toilet, full-sized tub/shower and large vanity
  • Large Screened Porch: The 16 foot deep deck and screened-in porch span the front of the cottage sitting amongst the trees. Enjoy dinner and listening to the birds bug free!
  • BBQ: Propane BBQ
  • Transportation: Arrangements can be made if you need a pickup from bus station in Huntsville. Please inquire for charges.

If you need a safe getaway this winter Hickory is just the cottage! The lake is a wonderful place to ski, skate or just to take a relaxing walk. Limberlost Reserve is just a short walk away and has amazing ski trails and walking trails. If you like to ice fish let me. I have all the gear.

Full-sized fridge and electric stove, microwave, all small appliances. New modern maple cabinetry — stocked and ready to cook.

Bus Pickup Available

Arrangements can be made to pick guests up from the bus station in Huntsville. Please inquire for charges when booking.

Elm is a private, non-smoking two-bedroom cottage where the lake is never out of sight. From the bedroom with its large picture window to the Muskoka room's three sides of floor-to-ceiling screens, the water is always present.

"A breathtaking view of the water and early morning sunrises."

The original floors are finished beautifully, and built-in cupboards throughout keep everything neat and tucked away. A kayak and paddle are available right at your private shore area — step out and paddle whenever the mood takes you.

What's Included

  • Bedroom 1: comfortable queen bed, overhead fan, and light
  • Kitchen: Fully equipped – fridge, 2 burner cooktop, convection oven, microwave, blender, kettle, Keurig single cup coffee maker, Bodum, coffee grinder, serving dishes, storage containers, etc. and a good choice of pots and pans.
  • Living room: Sofa, TV, DVD/Blu Ray player, assorted movies, ceiling fan, wood stove

Airtight wood stove in the living room. 8×16 ft sun deck with gas BBQ and a second propane tank. One reserved parking space.

Weekly rentals have priority during the season, which means Cedar tends to have more open dates than most cottages — a real opportunity to grab a longer stay.

Built in 2016, Birch is a bright two-bedroom cottage with large windows throughout, giving every room a view of the lake. The great room features a vaulted ceiling clad in rustic, hand-milled 17-inch pine planks — a genuinely beautiful space.

"This isn't a cottage, it is our paradise!"

Summer brings ceiling fans in every living space for a cool retreat from the heat. Winter brings in-floor warmth and a crackling woodstove to welcome you in from the snow. Year-round comfort in one of Oxbow's most thoughtfully designed properties.

*Birch is a smoke-free, pet-free cottage with a maximum of 4 overnight guests and 8 guests in total during the day.

  • 2 Bedrooms: one with a Queen size, while the second has a double sized bed with a memory foam topper, ceiling fans, dressers in each room
  • Bathroom: four piece bathroom with on-demand water supply
